Details: Amazon.ca Shaggy is a Jamaican who moved to New York at the age of eighteen, then enlisted in the Marines, with whom he fought in Iraq in the early 90s. After several American and Jamaican successes, including "Big Up", then "Oh Carolina" in 1993, he published this album, Boombastic (1995). We find there his very original singing style of DJ ragga, in duet with several soul-reggae singers like Wayne Wonder, Ken Boothe and Rayvon ("In The Summertime"). The excellent and huge international hit "Boombastic" (pun on "fantastic") included here confirms Shaggy as one of the sexiest and hottest male artists in global ragga-hip-hop.
