Details: Based on a Charles Dickens classic, this striking production is modern, captivating, dramatic and sometimes even amusing, while remaining faithful to the spirit of the famous novel. Oliver's existence is marked by poverty and misfortune. His single mother died shortly after giving birth to him. He is then placed in a hospice run by the infamous Mr. Bumble. Like all his companions in misfortune, he was mistreated and malnourished there. And when he dares to ask for an extra ration of porridge, he is immediately chased away. He will therefore have to learn to fend for himself in life. Having fled to London, Oliver meets a young thug nicknamed L'Arsouille and his gang. At the same time, he meets the beautiful Nancy. For the first time in his life, he feels warmly welcomed. But he soon discovers that this goodness comes at a high price. Oliver sinks deeper and deeper into a dark hell. He is unaware that Mr. Brownlow, a generous man, is trying to find him. Meanwhile, other characters – Bill Sikes, a violent con man, Fagin, an old manipulator, and the mysterious Mr. Monks – are determined, each on their own, to make life difficult for him.
