If the end was near, the quintet, which became a quartet with the departure of Chantal Francke, remained in full possession of its means. As can be seen in The DVD: 1994-95, he honed his art with an emphasis on parodies. In the ferociously wicked, but terribly funny genre, you have to (re)see the skater Josée Chouinard announcing the “Prêt Pusse” shampoo between two falls, or Jean-Marc Parent promoting “Clearabil”, a product against acne. Equally successful are the parody of the Pulse news bulletin (“Repulse”), that of the All Bran cereal advertisement (“All Brun”), the songs of the Wildfires (“Québécois”, “Suzie Robidoux”) and the visit of the extraterrestrial Stromgol in Raël. There's more to The DVD: 1994-95 than just these two hours of highlights. There are more than 40 minutes of additional funny scenes, all the RBO music videos (from “It makes you rap” to “Bonjour la police”), as well as interviews with the members of the group. This last year of the quartet on television had only had mixed success. Yet it turns out to be as entertaining as the others. Here is the perfect opportunity to rediscover it. --Nicolas Houle
