Details: Chantal is a secret teenager. She lives between a sick mother and an unemployed father. When her mother died, she left the family home and went to Gaspésie. She takes with her the photo of a beach near Gaspé where her mother dreamed of returning. Chantal tries to find this place in vain. After wandering for several days and at the end of her resources, she finds refuge with Serge, a taciturn farmer, on his small farm in the hinterland. Serge hires Chantal and, gradually, his two solitary beings get to know each other. In contact with the surrounding nature, Chantal opens up to the world and its beauty. The farm is in trouble. Serge resists his sister Laura's desire to part with what remains of their heritage. They find themselves at an impasse. Serge and Chantal become attached to each other little by little. The film is the story of their meeting and their taming.
