October / 1972-1989 - CD (Used)
Author: October
Format: Remixes included
Release Date: 01-12-2015
Details: Amazon.ca With their complex music, at the crossroads of jazz and rock, October has established itself as one of the most outstanding groups of Quebec song. The 1972-1989 box retraces, through 34 titles, the history of this formation made up of Pierre Flynn (vocals, keyboards), Jean Dorais (guitar), Mario Légaré (bass) and Pierre Hébert (drums). Stopping at each of the albums that October has recorded – with the exception of L'Autoroute des rêves, of which we can however find certain titles recorded in concert –, the anthology gives the pulse of the 10 years of activity of the group, from 1972 to 1982. It is with pleasure that we return to the classics "Maudite Machine", "Dans ma ville", "Le Chant du métro", but also with the ambitious "Clandestins" and "Le vent se rises", in which October flirted with symphonic rock. Complete with four previously unreleased tracks, recorded with a horn section during a concert in 1989, the 1972-1989 box set is a must-have for fans to pick up. --Nicolas Houle Product Description October
