Even more than on the first eponymous album, we recognize this tasty cocktail of complex musical experimentation and somewhat naive lyrics that are nonetheless just right. Carried by a whimsical innocence, without stylistic effects, Déry's words manage to translate simple emotions (“Since”), difficult moments (“Trois Minutes”) or the black holes of existence (“CTRL-Z” ). But it is above all the richness and the musical diversity of the album – fruit of a fertile collaboration with Michel Dagenais, ex-member of Sale Affaire – which almost always seduces and sometimes dazzles. Hovering between jazz (“It's been a long time”), trip-hop (“Geyser”), reggae (“Where are you?”), blues (“Lumière rose”) and folk-rock (“Ostie qu'y s' get up late”), the singer manages to stay balanced to create a harmonious atmosphere, without harshness, but not without depth. In the future consecrates Marc Déry as one of the most worthy representatives of this new Quebec song which, from Daniel Bélanger to Ariane Moffatt, via Jérôme Minière or even the Pierre Flynn of the 2000s, makes the music of here an invigorating wind of technopoetry. --Pascale Millot
