Details: Amazon.ca Maurane began her career in France playing the role of Marie-Jeanne in Starmania. Adopted by the French public (the singer is of Belgian origin), she followed up with a succession of hits on her third album entitled: Ami ou ennemi. "Sur un prélude de Bach," "Ça casse," and "Mentir" are now considered classics of French popular music. However, it is only a short step from love stories that are born and die ("Du mal," "Tu es parti") to a sharp, even mocking sense of humor ("Des femmes en dessous," "Décidément"). The woman said to be the favorite singer of other singers does not take herself seriously and sometimes sings about self-deprecation in "Tant c'était bon." And then, there is the Marie-Jeanne from Starmania, a role that left such a mark on her that she identifies with the character in "Qui es tu Marie-Jeanne?" In any case, one thing is certain: with an album like this, you can only make friends. --Valérie Dupouy Product Description L'Original Series. Reissue of the Original Album. Digitally Remastered.
