Discover with Annie the pleasures of a "brocolesque" underwater adventure where characters, each more original than the last, await you! Amazon.ca A true star among Quebec's toddlers, singer-actress Annie Brocoli launches her conquest of the cinema with Annie Brocoli dans les fonds marins, filmed in high definition by Claude Brie and written by the effervescent young lady herself. Barely arrived in the ocean, the lovely Annie is swept away by Super-Net, the hero of the planet, on a treasure hunt with the goal of collecting and recycling everything that could pollute the seabed. Accompanied by her faithful Jérémy and Marguerite, Annie has the opportunity to meet all sorts of characters as zany as they are endearing. More of a pretext to perform the songs from Annie's self-titled album, the film nonetheless stands out for its sincere enthusiasm and contagious vitality. Playing all the characters (including the hilarious Germaine, the star-frog), Annie Brocoli manages quite well, drawing children along with her into her colorful aquatic parade. Although it does not harbor strong narrative ambitions, the film manages to be just as convincing in its moments of tenderness as in its passages of pure fun. A true ecological tale, Annie Brocoli dans les fonds marins also has the merit of sensitizing the very young to the need to defend our planet. – Helen Faradji. Review "Annie Brocoli dans les fonds marins is intended as a pretty, unpretentious entertainment that will put smiles on the glowing faces of the Brocolis." -- Sylvain Prevate, Le Journal de Montréal "Each song (...) constitutes a technical and digital feat that the craftsmen of Finding Nemo might even envy on occasion." -- André Lavoie, Le Devoir "All of this is very charming, dynamic, enthusiastic, and beautifully packaged." -- Aleksi K Lepage, La Presse
