BIOGRAPHY
The group Barachois is the quintessential ambassador of Acadian music from Prince Edward Island. In recent years, this group has traveled the roads of the Atlantic provinces and Quebec, and has completed several tours in European countries. Appreciated by both Francophone and Anglophone audiences, Barachois received the Francophone Album of the Year award at the 1997 East Coast Music Awards. These four excellent musicians, all named Arsenault, present 13 lively songs on this album. The harmony of voices, fiddle, foot-tapping, jaw harp, mouth music, and guitars gives you the impression of participating in a kitchen party, warm and cozy by the fire, somewhere on Prince Edward Island.
