The astonishing Montreal neo-disco supergroup Barry Paquin Roberge is back, more flamboyant than ever, after having expanded the reach of their dance floor across the Americas and Europe. Their new offering "Exordium to Extasy" broadens the group's already impressive color palette, taking it into even smoother and more delirious territories. Its powerful, radiant grooves—made of a clever blend of sparkling guitars, layers of synths, and enchanted flute, over which male and female voices burst forth in celestial harmony—are exactly what we didn't know we needed in our lives. Disco isn't dead: with BPR, it's a sensual party, very much of its time, that you never want to see end.
