Details: Amazon.ca Six solo albums and twenty-three under different names and groups, was that worth a Best of? From "Putain Putain", a title which in its time could have hit the headlines, to "Jean Baltazzaarrr" ("Santa's Daughter", by Dutronc) via "My Mother's Eyes" in which he delivers all his sensitivity, Arno loves nothing so much as singing others in his own way: "They changed my song", by Mélanie or "Les Filles du bord de mer", by his compatriot Adamo. Arno Hintjens' 30-year career is summed up in this "souvenir" album. But is it necessary to present this atypical and timeless singer? It is true that there is no lack of epithets when it comes to defining it. Because, if there are artists who do not let themselves be caught in the nets of the star system, Arno is one of them. Unconventional, the lascar is not the type to enroll in the "two-ball variety". With him, the music plays with rhythmic proprieties to get lost in the twists and turns of deliberately ramshackle blues or rock from which furiously wild sounds relentlessly extricate themselves, bordering on orchestral fiddling. Whether accompanied by an accordion ("Tango de la peau", "Jive To The Beat") or a harmonica, we retain from Arno this rough voice which crushes the words unceremoniously. This Best of is waiting for you. --Valerie Dupouy. Product Description Compilation of Greatest Hits, Released for the 30th Anniversay of Arno's Fantastic Career.
