Details: Amazon.ca Compared to its British-pop counterparts like Oasis, Blur is an atypical group. Although they started out with classics like Modern Life Is Rubbish and Parklife, the group turned their backs on their past in 1997 with Blur, an album marked by the post-rock of Tortoise and the noise experiments of Pavement and Sonic Youth. before being remixed, among others, by Thurston Moore and Moby. Ten years after their first hit, "She's So High", Blur is compiled on 18 tracks (including an unreleased one, "Music Is My Radar") and offers a collaboration with Marianne Faithfull. The whole reports on these adventures and takes place before the group and its leader Damon Albarn leave for other adventures. The latter has also released a solo record marked by the singing of Malian griots, and in particular Ali Farka Touré, of whom he is a fan. A funny compilation for a funny band that doesn't hesitate to question its image. --Herve Comte Product Description Blur
