Author: Midnight Oil

Format: Import

Release Date: 15-10-1996

Details: The first album in 3 years from Aussie political rockers Midnight Oil. Featuring guest appearances by Emmylou Harris and Buddy Miller! For a limited time, the CD comes packaged in a special glossy gatefold "pocket" pack! - This long-surviving, quintessential Australian band has always been a multi-faceted beast. This is not the rollicking, angry Oils we are used to. Breathe sees Midnight Oil take a more subtle approach, without sacrificing any of the power that made them great. Country flavors dominate in "One Too Many Times," while melody and rhythm meld in "Underwater." The gorgeous "Surf Up Tonight" quietly hints at their roots, while other highlights include "Gravelrash," "Time To Heal," and the mesmerizing refrain of "Star Of Hope." Country queen Emmylou Harris makes a guest appearance.
