Details: Amazon.ca Actors who venture into singing are often greeted with a hint of suspicion by the public. Caroline Néron, an actress with a husky tone discovered in the TV series Diva and Tribu.com, has met this challenge with ease. Although she does not possess the most spectacular voice, she lacks neither poise nor charm. She offers a highly convincing pop-rock sound, well supported by her partner Pascal Dufour, guitarist for Les Respectables, producer Gordie Johnson, leader of the Toronto-based band Big Sugar, and an impressive team of songwriters, notably Roger Tabra, Éric Lapointe, and Patrick Huard. A few surprises spice up the listening of this self-titled debut album, including a wonderful reggae-flavored track ("On en pleure"), a languid soul song ("Ma Plus Belle Erreur"), and an amusing encounter with rocker Papillon ("C'est pas la première fois"), which recalls the Gainsbourg-Birkin duets. Even the ballads, like the very pretty "Reste mais va-t-en," will bring a few tears to the most sensitive listeners. Refreshing and sunny, Caroline Néron's first album will certainly brighten up beautiful summer days... --Frédéric Boudreault Product Description Caroline Néron
