She was not to stop believing, she was not to cease dreaming. “The very art that was meant to destroy her, instead kept her alive…” Today, she is here, with her music and her guitar; although she would have loved to play with the one her late father gave her 15 years ago. It is with these memories that she now shapes her life, and with which she worked on this album, the preface to her career…

“Praefatio” is the debut album from CÉLINE BANZA… Signed to Bomayé Musik Africa, she unveils this work, rich in sound, where we find ourselves lulled by the sweet and beautiful voice of this rising star of African music.

This is an album of great musicality, as the arrangements never steal the spotlight from either the performer or her melancholic melodies; her studies in ethnomusicology have positively influenced her creativity. Furthermore, she has chosen to highlight her culture and her identity by singing in her mother tongue, Ngbandi. It is Céline’s musical preface… “Praefatio”, it will be remembered for a long time!
