Chantal Archambault is a singer-songwriter from Abitibi-Témiscamingue who presents an assortment of tracks featuring vivid lyrics set against a country-folk backdrop. She first gained recognition in 2008 with the release of her self-produced album, Le collage, which charmed its initial audience with its great authenticity. Along the way, it also reached Dany Placard, whom she teamed up with to produce her second album, La romance des couteaux, released at the FME in 2010; an antagonistic work where contrasting images and sounds collide to serve human and sincere stories sketched with a delicate touch.
