Claude Martel / If I had known - CD
After several years of absence from the Quebec music scene, country singer Claude Martel returns with an original album, his first official one since his 1987 ADISQ nomination in the country album of the year category for Auprès de toi je revis.
He hasn't stopped making music, however, performing concerts throughout all these years. He returns with an album full of rhythm and realism, with flavors that are, of course, country, but also pop. Claude also wrote and/or composed several of the songs, but he also surrounded himself with renowned songwriters like Paul Daraîche (Confidences, Les anges du Mexique, L’beau père, and Le printemps) as well as Daniel Lavoie, who wrote Le lit for him. Also noteworthy is the duet participation of Paul Daraîche on the songs Confidences and Les anges du Mexique, and that of the Daraîche family (Julie, Dany, and Paul) on La marche pour le Saguenay.
An exceptional country voice and an album not to be missed!
