Details: Amazon.ca There is nothing better than a compilation for Bashung to make (if he hasn't already) his first foray into your record collection. Especially since the best is compiled here, across all eras, from the albums Roulette russe (the famous "Gaby, oh Gaby") and Pizza ("Vertiges de l'amour") to Chatterton ("Ma Petite Entreprise") and Fantaisie militaire. Two decades during which this singer, in the tradition of Gainsbourg with whom he collaborated, illuminated French pop with songs featuring sophisticated atmospheres where one finds the cream of international rock: Phil Manzanera of Roxy Music, Blixa Bargeld of Einstürzende Neubauten, Marc Ribot, Adrian Utley of Portishead, Joseph Racaille, Rodolphe Burger of Kat Onoma... In short, his little enterprise... which has never known a crisis... --Hervé Comte Product Description 38 Tracks Compilation From French Pop Singer.
