Details: Amazon.ca Les Boys I With its imposing cast, which brings together veterans of comedy such as Rémy Girard, Marc Messier, Serge Thériault and director Louis Saïa, Les Boys begin the game on the power play. The Boys are a band of average males who play hockey every week under the direction of Stan (Girard), trainer and owner of a brewery. Brasserie that he risks losing if his guys don't win a decisive match against Méo's team (Pierre Lebeau, excellent), a loan shark to whom Stan owes a large sum. The plot here serves as a pretext to penetrate predominantly male areas, showing The Boys at the tavern, the locker room, the strip bar, on the ice, and so on. To wrap it all up, a rolling fire of jokes and puns like: "When you're a lawyer, you wear the dress and your wife wears the panties". If the script could have been refined more, the film can nevertheless be viewed as a good hockey game: interesting players, including Patrick Huard, hilarious as an unscrupulous real estate agent, a few goals too, like this absurd scene where a lawyer, in a hurry going to play, lets his client receive a major sentence. Les Boys, it may not be a Stanley Cup final but, at the very least, an honest playoff round. --Julie ParentLes Boys II The comedy series Les Boys has had unparalleled success at the Quebec box office since its debut. Directed by the director Louis Saïa, these amateur hockey players who collect comical misadventures arouse particular resonances with an adolescent audience or little inclined to subtle humor... Fernand the statistician (Paul Houde), Ti-Guy, the Rogue real estate agent (Patrick Huard), Stan, captain of the team and owner of a bar (Rémy Girard), Bob the seducer (Marc Messier) and the others find themselves this time in the French Alps to take part in the International Tournament of garage leagues. Their behavior leaves an imperishable memory to the French who welcome them, also depicted in broad strokes. Les Boys II does not lace up, chaining caricatural situations and replicas that often flirt with vulgarity. Several gags, focused on the contrast between French and Quebecers, however, hit their target. And the ingredients that make this series popular remain: the characters are excessive but endearing and, above all, are interpreted by actors who seem to have as much fun as the public. The result is a good-natured atmosphere that almost makes you forgive the rest. --Anne-Marie CloutierLes Boys III After their stay in France where they cut their teeth during the previous episode (Les Boys II), the amateur hockey players who made Quebecers run to the cinema are back together at the brasserie At Stan's. They have aged, now watch their line and their double chin. But here they are offered to face the Canadian women's hockey team. The gang of machos is no match for these seasoned players, actresses for the time of a film – the very ones who, without staging this time, won the gold medal at the Olympic Games in Salt Lake City . The Boys will suffer a crushing defeat, not without learning some lessons. These happy characters, boorish to the point of caricature, will end up showing solidarity and will prove, despite their weaknesses, that their hearts are in the right place. Served by a five-star cast – Alexis Martin, Marc Messier, Patrick Huard, Paul Houde and Serge Thériault, joined by the singer France D'Amour, as a sparkling waitress – Les Boys III has asserted itself, like the two first films, as a success in terms of both the laughs and the box office. Signed Louis Saïa, the comedy manages to touch the sensitive cords of Quebecers: honor, family, father-son relations, without forgetting this sport.
