BIOGRAPHY
Since September 2013, the members of Cy have been blending harmonies and guitar strings to create music of the present and the past. Featuring three guitars and four voices, this Nova Scotian group based in Moncton succeeds in uniting folk, progressive, and traditional styles to create a sound that is both warm and harmonious. A product of the new Acadian indie-folk wave, Cy stands out for its sophisticated harmonies and contagious sense of humor that has charmed listeners from one end of Acadia to the other.
Here is their self-titled debut EP, a collection of original compositions that continues to garner attention in the Francophone media of the Maritimes. The album's five tracks are the product of musical research inspired by the traditional melodies and tales still heard in Baie Sainte-Marie, Nova Scotia.
