Details: Product Description De Phazz Amazon.ca Acid-jazz track with rapper, Morcheeba-style pop, soul, zouk interludes... De Phazz plays the card of diversification by opening its horizon to new genres, without losing sight of it his favorite style, "general public" jazz, long qualified as "easy listening" and now included in the generic name "Lounge". Daily Lama is also a polyglot disc. Indeed, with lyrics sometimes in German, sometimes in Tahitian, French or English, the interpretation is also eclectic, deliberately asserting an international orientation... With its dominant jazzy trip-hop with tango or bossa influences Pink Martini style, the whole remains cozy and often recalls the compositions of the Boys from Brazil (the other face of Gotan Project). But if we do indeed find many similarities with other formations of the same family, between kitsch songs and funky ballads, the freshness is all the same at the rendezvous of this 3rd opus which does not however bring anything particularly new. . What seduces, in fact, is the variety of titles and the importance given to scores "played" more than programmed. Thus, it is a real written album that signs De Phazz, composed of a large majority of songs with texts, light and groovy. --Luc Demont
