In the whiteness of the Quebec countryside, Dédé Fortin and his Colocs retire to compose what will become their most famous but also their last album, Dehors Novembre. For almost a year, Dédé composed and wrote his songs there, most of the time alone, oscillating between moments of creation and periods of deeper anguish. The singer takes stock of his life in a way and revisits certain parts of his past that sometimes haunt him, sometimes inspire him. Articulated around this double chronological frame, where the singer's past and present intersect, the film makes us witness both the birth of this important artist for Quebec song, but also his slow descent into himself. which will lead him to his suicide, in May of the year 2000.
