Known as one of the greatest Acadian singer-songwriters, it is surprising that he hasn't made more albums... On his album C'est mieux comme ça, one recognizes a taste for well-crafted songs.
Denis Richard notably made his mark alongside Zachary Richard with the song Cap Enragé, which they co-wrote. This song became one of Zachary Richard's greatest hits. As an actor, he was in the play Laurie ou la vie de galerie, for which he also composed the music (also available on CD)... The same goes for Les Défricheurs d'eau. Since 1994, he has mainly worked as a theater actor, an actor in TV series, and as a songwriter for the theater and for artists such as Jean-François Breau, Annie Blanchard, and Roch Voisine.

"In 2012, after I was diagnosed with cancer, my friends—musicians, actors, and artists—wanted to help me by putting on a show. So many of them showed up, and the number of my songs they wanted to perform was so great, that according to the organizers, they could have put on two shows with different artists and songs each night... They only did one, but it was memorable. So much so that this show was a finalist for the 2014 Éloizes Awards for Show of the Year. Suddenly, the pressure from the public, the media, and even my peers became very strong for me to make a new record. And now that I have completed all my surgeries and treatments and have finally regained my strength, I am ready to go into the studio to make a new album and get back on the road." To our great delight!

Denis Richard's return to recording is highly anticipated... He has several little gems of songs waiting...
