Details: Amazon.ca More accomplished than Exit Planet Dust, less produced than Surrender, the second album from Ed Simons and Tom Rowlands confirms all the good things we think of these faux brothers with real talent. While it is hard to resist the thunderous bass of "It Doesn't Matter" or the devastating breakbeats of "Setting Sun" and "Block Rockin' Beats", Dig Your Own Hole is not just a dancefloor bomb that explodes on every track. Between two earth-shattering assaults, the Chemical Brothers also try their hand at psychedelic pop (cf. the string flourishes of "Where Do I Begin" and "Lost In The K-Hole"), thus foreshadowing the electro-acoustic fusion of Surrender.
