Details: Product Description Dumas, Steve Amazon.ca Steve Dumas made his entrance through the great door of Quebec song with a pop rock album with electronic accents produced by Alain Quirion (Zébulon, Marc Déry) and Carl Bastien (Jean Leloup, France D'Amour). In this eponymous album, the young singer presents a universe rich in characters ("Miss Ecstasy", "Lolita"), in haunting themes ("Rien de pire", "L'Écrivaine"), all served by refrains that are catchy without being catchy and with neat texts: "I made a stop at her blouse / And I'm afraid to give in to her level crossing." Despite a few repetitions and an excess of electronic sounds in certain pieces ("Pyromanes" for example), Steve Dumas' first album turns out to be very promising, especially since the singer has a voice full of personality, both supple and nonchalant. Store not far from Marc Déry and Daniel Bélanger. -- Nicolas Houle
