Details: Amazon.ca The East Infection, the debut album from Ramachandra Borcar, alias D.J. Ram, a well-known Montreal disc jockey, is defined by eclecticism. The East Infection is full of surprises and astonishing moments: Ram transitions skillfully from jazz in "Just devotion" to surf in "New Wave," from Massive Attack-style techno in "George" to atmospheric techno in "Low" or "Daisy." Despite the diversity of influences, D.J. Ram has managed to create a sense of unity in this colorful and refreshing musical puzzle. With each listen, one manages to find a new detail that renews interest. A very successful first attempt. -- Frédéric Boudreault
