The pleasure of reconnecting with oldschool hardcore and delivering it using acoustic instruments is an idea that has been running through Mark Vaillankourt's head for 15 years. He found raging sidekicks to bring raw lyrics to life, mixed with a unique, raging, high-performance sound. Les Ékorchés do not hide the violence in the content of their texts with evocative titles like D'la meat cé walls, Shot ça yeule, Haine or even Amourir... but according to Mark: "I think that I have always a positive message. I can't talk about it without adding a "sacre", because I don't understand the behavior of pedophiles and killers... my way of expressing it is by giving them "shit".
