Émilie Landry / Watering the Flowers - CD
Émilie Landry is originally from Campbellton, in northern New Brunswick. After spending a few years in Quebec City, she resettled in her native Acadian town last year. She shares her worldview, life stories, and mishaps with an open heart, but always with a sly smile, as she believes it is better to laugh about them than to cry!
Even as a child, she declared that the stage was where she felt at home. Her participation in the Accros de la chanson competition in 2010 was a milestone that inspired her to continue writing in her mother tongue. This young woman carries within her a fiery passion that makes even the most serious dream.
She enrolled at the Campus Notre-Dame de Foy in Quebec City, where she earned her diploma in pop and jazz singing in 2016. In 2017, none other than French artist Daran produced her first solo EP, titled Être social (link).
After more than sixty shows, she continues to nurture her creativity by participating in creative residencies in the Gaspé Peninsula and in France. In 2019, she began an intensive period of creation in preparation for the release of her album Arroser les fleurs.
