A child of the 90s, Etienne Dufresne grew up mainly between the shores of Victoriaville and Magog. Born into a music-loving family, with a musician father for whom progressive rock is the musical mass by definition, he tames the guitar in a self-taught way to perhaps thus deserve paternal pride. Dufresne ends up emancipating himself from the artistic and bloodthirsty family cocoon at a time when nothing is going well for him. Unemployed after a succession of love troubles and professional failures, he abolished the idea of ​​having to produce what was expected of him, following which he took a more experimental and personal creative path. His songs are thus born first for him, in an urgency to express himself. He first composes pieces on the acoustic guitar before putting the complete orchestrations on his computer in his room.

It is under the Chivi Chivi label that Etienne Dufresne will present Sainte-Colère in February, his first EP of 7 tracks with various influences. This bedroom rock epic is a reflection of its inspirations at the crossroads of Mac DeMarco, Genesis, Beau Dommage and BadBadNotGood.
