Details: Product description Everybody Hertz - 10 ~ Everybody Hertz - 10 Amazon.ca Following the notable release of their second album, 10,000 Hz Legend, solemnly wrapped in electronic prog-rock, Nicolas Godin and Jean-Benoît Dunckel invited some friends aboard their Pink Floyd-labeled musical bubble. Their goal: to redraw the airy soundscapes of the Versailles duo with a wide array of eclectic remixes. On the credits for this deconstruction exercise, seasoned tinkerers such as Thomas Bangalter of Daft Punk, Mr. Oizo, the winning US hip-hop pair The Neptunes, and dub specialist Adrian Sherwood indulge in subtle makeovers. Alongside this star-studded lineup, outsiders offer a few skillful mixes: the martial beat of The Hacker, on an excursion away from his Miss Kittin, Malibu (aka Roger Joseph Manning Jr of Jellyfish, mastermind behind Moog Cookbook), or the essential Modjo. Robotic rhythms blended with funk-rock serve as a showcase for a previously unreleased acoustic track, "The Way You Look Tonight." And in place of the emphatic solo that bogs down the Floydian genre, Air offers a video of "People In The City" filmed live in Los Angeles. --Sabrina Silamo
