IN STRICT CONFIDENCE / Face The Fear - CD
Author: IN STRICT CONFIDENCE
Format: CD
Release Date: 31-12-1899
Details: Amazon.ca The second full-length release by Germany's In Strict Confidence sees Dennis Ostermann and Jörg Schelte moving in a slightly harsher direction--noisier heavy atmospherics, vocals, dirtier beats. It's industrial, all right, and with an unmistakable Teutonic feel, even though most of the lyrics are sung in English. "Hit me in the face / Gore my inner grace / It comes down to this / Smash up all my anguish," they sing on "Way of Redemption," pretty much summing up the sentiment of Face the Fear. Credit ISC, though, for bucking the 125 bpm trend and slipping in a few downright noisy experimental tracks ("Empire," "Room 101") and some atmospheric slowbeat ("I Don't Care") among the more dance-floor- friendly cuts. If you're a fan of the early sound of the Celtic Circle label (remember yelworC?), Face the Fear won't disappoint. --Steve Landau Product Description In Strict Confidence
