Details: Amazon.ca 1985. Groups like New Order or Dépêche Mode are a hit on the airwaves and in nightclubs. The same year, the French scene saw the emergence, timidly but surely, of a group that answered to the name of Niagara. Composed of the beautiful, and no less mysterious, Muriel Moreno and the dark Daniel Chenevez, this duo from Rennes imposes itself with an exotic and sensual title "Tchiki Boum" (in reference to Hollywood musicals of the 1940s). It was for Niagara the beginning of a vertiginous ascent in the musical universe of the country, which would subsequently give rise to a string of hits. Starting with these singles "L'Amour à la plage", "Je faut m'en aller" and "Encore un kiss", unanimously recognized as small masterpieces with techno-pop, funky, jazzy or afro hooks. -Cubans. Three years later, the duo took a 90° turn by settling into a decidedly more rock style. "Enough" and "J'ai vu" testify to this change because Muriel's voice becomes more angry and aggressive; and more biting Daniel Chenevez guitars. Finally, the Moreno/Chenevez duo broke up at the end of 1993. Flammes revives our memories, those of a duo that has since become legendary.
