Details: Forest is first and foremost the nucleus formed by Émilie and Joseph, around which many collaborators have begun to gravitate over the seasons. Starting with Kim Doré, whom the duo naturally asked to write texts for the project, which weaves together in an unusual way: often, Joseph develops a framework that the other two will then come to inhabit, Kim from his words, Emilie with her voice and aerial melodies. The small group of forest explorers also includes François Lafontaine (keyboards and co-production with Joseph Marchand), Philippe Brault (bass), Robbie Kuster (drums), Guido del Fabbro (violin and mandolin) and Pierre Girard (sound recording and mixing) . Without forgetting Pierre Lapointe, unexpected walker in these woods like no other, and the visual artist David Altmejd, whose sculptures one day inspired Joseph to ask the following question: could we not translate all this into music? ?
