François Pérusse had sworn, however, that it was over, that the fourth volume of *L'Album du peuple* would truly be the last. But he returns with *La Poursuite*, the fifth (and final?) title in the series.

This time, he didn't just group his comedy sketches by theme; he invented a story. We witness the misadventures of François Pérusse himself, the victim of a lawsuit for breaking his contract with his record company. Between the episodes of this tragicomic legal saga, he offers songs that are more fluid and less cluttered than those he delivered on previous albums ("Vive l'amour" and "Snack-bar chez Raymond"), parodies of the media, and, of course, he brings back his famous characters. One might have feared repetition from the comedian. On the contrary, one is astonished by his incredible ability to reinvent himself.
