With "Départs d'août," Frank Custeau presents his vision of the world, always using a touch of humor and a sensibility all his own. With a folk sound that hints at country with an aftertaste of punk, Frank tackles universal themes of love, anxieties, his mistakes, and his pleasures. Everything is done with the simplicity and authenticity of a guy who wants only one thing: to keep traveling the punk-rock road.

Frank Custeau's songs feature precise lyrics that are at once funny, engaged, and cynical. Many friends and collaborators have joined the project, both for live shows and composition: Noé Talbot, Pépé et sa Guitare, Alex Crow, and Joe McMahon (Smoke or Fire).
