“ Lundi Méchant is a concept born in Bujumbura (Burundi).

Initially, it was the name of the parties held every Monday night at the “5 sur 5” nightclub in the popular and cosmopolitan Bwiza neighborhood. The establishment’s regulars are used to meeting there every Monday from midnight to dance, drink, and have fun until dawn […]. Going to “Lundi Méchant” is a way of thumbing one’s nose at modern society, which boxes the individual into schedules and constraints that would have us wait patiently for the weekend to have fun. “Lundi Méchant” events are there to assert the individual’s independence in the face of regulated time and the schedules imposed by society.

[…] “Lundi Méchant” means starting every week with the will to grapple with life, the difficulties of daily existence, and the political and economic crises that shake us. It is about overturning one’s perception of the world.”
