Details: Amazon.ca The time of the start of the second year has come for the most promising of the students of the college of witchcraft of Hogwarts. Despite terrifying warnings from Dolby, a mysterious lousy elf adept at flogging and self-punishment, Harry Potter seems determined to rejoin his little comrades, including the faithful Ron and Hermione. But, in accordance with the predictions of the elf, the serenity of the colleague is quickly disturbed by a mysterious force which petrifies its victims and sows chaos. The terrible chamber of secrets has just been opened and the fate of the Hogwarts college soon depends only on the tenacity and courage of the young sorcerer's apprentice, who tries to carry out the investigation despite the traps set for him by Dolby and the suspicions which weigh on his possible guilt. Building on the success of the first opus, Chris Columbus takes over the controls for this new adaptation of the adventures of JK Rowlings' hero, allowing himself more freedom this time without disappointing the fervent supporters of the original written work. Clearly more rhythmic, more distressing and darker than the first part to which it definitely has nothing to envy, Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets is also more spectacular – as evidenced by the impressive Quidditch match – and funnier – like the troublemaker played by Kenneth Branagh, a crooked wizard full of smugness, sickly cowardly and fearful. Children and adults (many of them are passionate about the sorcerer's apprentice) can be reassured, magic and wonder are there. --Frederic Thorens
