This tale tells the incredible story of Jequitiba, an ancient, thousand-year-old tree living in the Brazilian rainforest. After surviving many misfortunes, it is once again under threat. Something must be done! A young boy, a rooster, some hens, and a horse join forces. Through illustrations that pay tribute to the beauty of the giant tree and the lush jungle, the story of its rescue is told to children. The songs accompanying the book, tinged with Brazilian sounds, set the pace for the brave companions' quest. Deep in the forest, hope blossoms!
