Details: From the undulating and uninhibited lo-fi folk groove rock soliloquy of "Mythologie" and "Horizon" to the country-tinged cabin boogie of "Tempérance," Mon Doux Saigneur has been exploring a new panorama for over a year now. The result is Horizon, an album that feels like a group effort, unburdened, where the spaces and contemplations take place more on the ground than in the air: "As if the first was a pastel canvas and here we went at it with oils." A camp oil: St-Cyr Labbé (lyrics, music, vocals, guitar, percussion, co-production and arrangements) is supported by his peers David Marchand (pedal steel, guitar and arrangements), Étienne Dupré (bass), Eliott Durocher (guitar and arrangements) and Mandela Coupal (drums). It also features Jesse Mac Cormack (bass, Juno, piano, percussion and co-production), Tonio Morin-Vargas (percussion, Moog, organ and co-production), Alex Burger (bass), Laurent St-Pierre (drums and percussion), Étienne Côté (drums and percussion), Laurence-Anne (vocals), Alex Guimond (vocals), Naomie Delorimier (vocals) and Lévy Bourbonnais (harmonica). And all these fine folks were recorded at Studio Madame Wood with Tonio Morin-Vargas (Bernard Adamus, Bon Enfant, Canailles) and at Green Room with Jean-Bruno Pinard (Laurence-Anne, Les Louanges).
