Details: The backside of an attractive policewoman teases on the cover. As for the advertising, it announces the thing with an explicit slogan: "50% rock energy + 50% sex"! Big deal! In this regard, although we have known much more inspired work (haven't sex and rock been linked from the beginning?), one must concede to this Nashville quartet qualities that the Red Hot Chili Peppers would not deny. Because, if we absolutely must talk about fusion, it is a cross-breeding of influences that is meant: namely rock, rap, funk, and ragga, mixed on unstoppable hits like "Doom Boo." Effective and crafty, then. --Hervé Comte
