However, if this disc actually contained a large majority of mid-tempo titles, Peter's good resolutions did not last long, since Into The Abyss already marks Hypocrisy's return to very fast death metal of the best vintage. But, after all, hadn't Peter also claimed that The Final Chapter would be Hypocrisy's last LP? While he has recorded three others (including live) since!
