Amazon.ca Having 50 years of career to his credit, Charles Aznavour no longer has to prove himself and can afford to deliver a personal album. This is precisely what he did in 1998 with this Jazznavour, by adapting some of its successes to a jazzy sauce with the help of André Manoukian (Liane Foly) in production, and the complicity of jazz big names (Dianne Reeves, Jacky Terrasson, Pierre Drevet, Michel Petrucciani, Eddy Louiss and Richard Galliano) on the microphone. We therefore find here the successes of the 50s to 70s: "J'aime Paris au mois de mai", "For me, formidable", including those which had nothing jazzy ("Mes emmerdes") and those which were downright psychedelic ("Les Plaisirs demodés") or even bluesy ("Tu t'laisses aller"). The result is simply magnificent.
