Originally from Nigadoo in northern New Brunswick, Joey Robin Haché still lives in the Bay of Chaleur region, specifically in South Tetagouche near Bathurst. Since 2012, Joey Robin Haché has been making his mark on the Acadian and Canadian music scene. He is eccentric, unpredictable, charismatic, energetic, outspoken, and unifying. He has released two albums, Repaver l'âme (2014) and Stigmates (2016), both from the Acadian label Le grenier musique. He was a finalist at the 47th edition of the Festival international de la chanson de Granby, where he won four awards. He was the singer-songwriter laureate at the 46th Gala de la chanson de Caraquet in 2014 and won the award for Francophone Recording of the Year at the 2016 East Coast Music Awards. At the 2017 Francouvertes, he won the public choice award.

On this album, the artist denounces the flaws of the popular music industry, which forces us to define ourselves within a specific style and a particular label while becoming an identifiable, safe, easy-to-sell, and easy-to-manipulate product. With Trente, the artist aims to defy these conventions and propose a different way of producing an album in 2019.
