Originally from Sherbrooke and a graduate of the École Nationale de la Chanson de Granby (2015), Julien Thibault (Coco Méliès, Édwar 7) unveils his solo project Jules, with a debut album titled Jules et ses pilules.

With his songs of cynical laughter, modern blues, and mundane disillusionment—sometimes folk, sometimes rock, a touch punk and a hint of country (who knows)—Jules picks up his bass with heart and imperfection, championing a raw, traditional, and timeless approach. Without pretension, without restraint.

At the helm of production and performing on most instruments, Jules counts on the support of Marcus Quirion (guitar and vocals), Simon Bilodeau (drums), Francesca Como (vocals), Dany Placard (vocals), and David Méliès (mixing), a "dream team" born from past and current collaborations.

The multi-instrumentalist paints ordinary portraits, examines his interpersonal relationships, and digs into life's big questions, always with a vein full of humanity and sensitivity. He puts his ideas and songs into a little jar that he carries around in his case. So that, in a way, each one of them is a little red capsule that helps one endure the flip side of daily life, mixed in with the capsules that are already working on the alchemy of the mind.
