Details: For this new album called “La 4ième dimension (long version)” – a reference to the namesake film from the amateur filmmaker Rogers Normandin - Les Hay Babies preferred to barter banjo and ukulele for electric guitars and bass. They also chose to exchange their studio musicians for their live band from New Brunswick. So Mico Roy (guitar), Marc-André Beliveau (drum) and Kevin McIntyre (keys, bass) join Les Hay Babies, as well as Pierre-Luc Blanchard (producer), to experiment the live recording without any special effects. From the 13 songs born during this recording, half were written during a closed session in a cabin in For this new disc, whose title is a nod to the film of the same name by amateur director Rogers Normandin, Les Hay Babies preferred to swap the banjo and the ukulele for the electric guitar and the bass, as well as exchanging their musicians from studio for their touring band. Thus, Mico Roy (guitar), Marc-André-Béliveau (drums) and Kevin McIntyre (bass and keyboards), their stage accomplices, all New Brunswickers – like the director recruited for this 2nd opus (Pierre-Guy Blanchard) –, lent themselves to the exercise of simultaneous recording, without mixing tricks or studio sleight of hand.
