Musical selection and illustrations by Mariana Ruiz Johnson Songs by Grupo Cántaro

17 Latin American countries are honored in this album with its many flavors. A rich and diverse selection of 19 traditional songs and nursery rhymes performed in Spanish carries us away into a joyful, colorful celebration. The authenticity of the voices and instruments makes the power and joy contained in this repertoire, passed down from one generation to the next, resound. The collection, wonderfully illustrated, tender and moving, sometimes funny and cheeky, and imbued with folk art, offers the original lyrics followed by a translation into French.
