The Montreal trio Le Couleur , created by Laurence Giroux-Do (vocals), Patrick Gosselin (bass) and Steeven Chouinard (drums), offers a rich and irresistibly danceable performance.
Le Couleur first propelled itself towards an electro-pop sound as bright as the lights of the defunct Studio 54, with the EPs Voyage Love (2013) and Dolce Désir (2015), then with POP (2016), a first album critically acclaimed. Thanks to the valuable advice of Giorgio Moroder, with whom the group had the chance to share the stage, Le Couleur recorded their new album with a whole new approach.
Concorde is a reference to the name of the legendary Franco-British plane dating from 1965 nicknamed "the beautiful white bird" with a chic and modern aesthetic. Laurence Giroux-Do became fascinated by this avant-garde project with a tragic end. A deadly "crash" that inspired him with a form of macabre sensuality.
We find in the musical composition vintage influences, reminiscent of the old-fashioned charm of the erotic 70s universe, warm hues which also take root in the psychedelic, disco, yé-yé and French song.
