Details: Artistic Ambassador to the Lanaudière Festival, the great pianist Alain Lefèvre has played on the most prestigious stages in forty countries. His recent album, Chopin: 24 Preludes, earned Alain Lefèvre a rave review in Fanfare magazine, where he was consecrated as being among the greatest romantic pianists; “With Lefèvre one gets the feeling of what a rare being Chopin was, not just as an artist but as a living soul.” All of Lefèvre’s virtuosity is displayed on this new album in works by Rachmaninov, Ravel and Haydn. We are witness to a spectacular piano performance, where the listener is drawn into a maelstrom full of lyricism, violence and tenderness that leaves him simultaneously exhausted and elated. A masterpiece!
