Les Boppers is a jazz collective founded in 1998 by trombonist and composer Benoit Gagné. In 1998, the band released their self-titled debut album. In 2011, with the support of Disques BG, Les Boppers reunited for a twenty-two-show tour across Quebec. Following this success, Benoit Gagné decided to compose new pieces. This new show pays tribute to a defining era of jazz, which saw great musicians such as Charlie Parker, John Coltrane, Miles Davis, J.J. Johnson, and many others, lay the foundations of this exhilarating music. Let yourself be transported to the atmosphere of smoky 1950s New York bars with Benoit Gagné on trombone, André Leroux on saxophone, Roger Walls on trumpet, Jean Cyr on double bass, Vincent Ravary on drums, and Éric St-Jean on piano.
