Details: Les Chansons de l’innocence retrouvée, an album co-written and co-produced in London with Jean-Louis Piérot, combines the feverish vivacity of Paris Ailleurs and the sensual fullness of Corps et armes, the ardent hedonism of Eden and the majesty of L’Invitation, but those who have heard it already know that it surpasses them all. Les Chansons de l’innocence is a first single with subtle disco inflections, dark by preference. Daho brings the Americans of Au Revoir Simone and the Frenchman Yan Wagner into the loop for a frenetic bacchanal that arrives just in time for a mischievous and sweltering summer under the crossfire of the sun and the strobe lights. While an entire generation of artists claims his influence today, Etienne Daho does not rest on his laurels as a godfather and instead shows himself to be more adventurous and conquering than ever.
